Liberia is the major rubber export destination in the world. As per the Liberia customs data reports, rubber contributes around 65% of the country’s total exports. Liberia is globally 11th largest rubber exporter. Also, Liberia is Africa’s largest exporter of rubber. According to the Liberia export data of 2022, the country’s rubber production rose by 38%. Around 90 metric tons of rubber was produced in 2022. Liberia’s rubber exports worth 198 million US Dollars making it the 4th largest exported goods of Liberia after Gold, Cargo Ships, and Iron Ore. The United States was the largest importer of Liberia’s rubber with over 140 million US Dollars imports from Liberia. Other major exporters of rubber were Canada, Malaysia and Germany. Liberia’s rubber had seen a significant demand in Czechia, Russia and Germany. Liberia rubber exports rose by 51% in the financial year 2022.
