Chile exported record $7.08 Bn worth of fruits in 2023
Chile is among the leading fruit exporting countries in the world. Fruit items drive 25% of Chile's total exports. Chile's key fruits exports are cherries, grapes, apples, dates, and nuts. The United States, China and Europe have emerged as the leading markets for Chile's fruits. Chile import export data shows record $7.08 billion worth of cherries exports during fiscal year 2023. Chilean cherries remained the most demanded fruits from Chile in the global market. It is derived from the fact that Chile exported over $2.5 billion worth of cherries last year. China was the biggest market for Chile's cherry's exports , responsible for around 84% share of the country's total cherry exports. The Chilean government is planning to further boost its cherry exports to China amid rising demand.
