  Turkey is the 3rd biggest exporter of pistachios in the world. Turkey made record pistachio exports last year. According to Turkey import export data reports, Turkey's pistachios exports were estimated to be around $318 million during the financial year 2023. As compared to $257 million worth of pistachios exports in 2022, there was a notable increase in the pistachios exports from Turkey. Turkey export data suggests that Italy, Germany and Iraq were the leading pistachios importers from Turkey. Italy recorded $56 million worth of Turkish pistachios imports last year followed by Germany ($47 million), and Iraq ($45 million). Although, there was a slight decline in the exports to Italy with a sharp increase in exports to Germany and Iraq. The fastest growing markets for Turkish pistachios exports were Libya, Jordan, Syria, Israel, Iran and Kazakhstan.
