Russia's alumina imports were nearly $2 Bn in 2023
Alumina is a major component used in the construction industry. Russia is a major importer of alumina across the global market. Last year, Russia was the biggest importer of alumina. According to Russia import data , the country has imported nearly $2 billion worth of alumina during last year. Australia and China were the top alumina suppliers to Russia with over 27% market share. Ireland was the third biggest alumina supplier to Russia with 7% market share. There were some notable amounts of shipments recorded from Germany, France, Czechia, the United Kingdom and European Union. Krasnoyarsky Aluminium Plant, Aorusal Sayanogorsk Aluminum and Leader Steel Vostok were responsible for the maximum number of alumina import shipments in 2023.
