UK's soybeans imports hit record 895MMT during 2023
The United Kingdom is the 17th biggest importer of soybean meal across the global market. According to the UK import export data reports, around $577 million worth of soybean meal were imported during fiscal year 2023. Over 895 MMT of soybean meal import shipments were made during last financial year. As compared to $717 million in the previous year, there was a sharp decline in the soybean imports by the United Kingdom. The UK's majority of the soybean meal imports came from Argentina which is the leading soybean meal supplier in the world. The Netherlands was the second leading soybean meal exporter to the United Kingdom followed by Paraguay, United States and Brazil. Brazil and Canada were the most favoured destinations for UK's soybean meal imports.
