Turkey's leather exports projected to reach 2.8 billion euros by 2028
Turkey's leather exports were on rise during the financial year 2023. It has seen record growth as compared to last year. According to the Turkey import export data reports, the country's leather exports recorded over $58 million in 2023. These include mens jackets, leather belts, leather trousers, faux leather, lambskin leather, leather patches, men's coats, natural leather, etc. Leather jackets were the most exported items from Turkey accounting for over 50% share of exports. Turkey export data shows that Tajikistan was the top importer of Turkish leather goods with over $8 million worth of leather imports. Germany was the second biggest destination for Turkish leather exports with imports over $6.5 million. There were significant amounts of leather exports made to France, United States, Netherlands, Russia and Kazakhstan.
