Mexico, "the world's leading tropical fruits exporter"
Mexico is known for growing a diverse variety of fruits. Mexico's most popular fruits products include melons, avocados, mangoes, strawberries, bananas, limes and grapes. Mexico is currently the leading tropical fruits exporter in the world. According to the Mexico import export data reports, the country’s tropical fruits exports were estimated to be around $4.1 billion during fiscal year 2022-23. Around 80% of Mexico's overall tropical fruits exports went to the United States which was the top importer for Mexican tropical fruits. Whereas, Canada was the second largest importer of tropical fruits with over 7% market share. Whereas, Japan, Spain, Germany, France, Netherlands, Argentina and Chile were the significant importers of tropical fruits from Mexico during that period.
