Indian to boost its mangoes exports to US
India is the top producer of mangoes globally along with China. Whereas, Thailand is the leading exporter of mangoes in the world. As per import export data , Thailand mango exports are worth 826 million US Dollars. Around 1000 different varieties of mangoes are found in India. These include Alphonso, Kesar, Totapuri, Badami, Banganappale etc.Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh are the major regions in terms of mango exports. According to the India import export data records, the top markets for Indian mango exports are United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait. In 2022, India's mangoes export volume was around 28 thousand metric tons. There is a rise in mango exports from India as compared to last year. As per India export data of mangoes, India's mango exports were around 59 million US Dollars in 2022. The majority of the mangoes exports were to the United Arab Emirates.
