  Portugal is a major market for footwears. In 2023, Portugal witnessed record footwear exports. According to Portugal import export data , Portugal footwear exports stood at $2 billion during 2023. Germany and France stood as the biggest buyers of Portugal's footwear items with 22% and 20% market share respectively.  There was a sharp rise in Portugal's footwear exports to the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. Ecco Let Portugal, Timberland Europe and Ara Shoes were some of the biggest footwear companies from Portugal with a notable amount of shipments last year.
