  Egypt has recently gained ground across the global dates market. Egypt was the 8th leading dates exporter in the world. According to the Egypt import export data , around $69 million worth of dates were exported by Egypt during FY 2022. Russia was the leading importer of Egyptian dates contributing to over 20% share in Egypt's dates exports. Around $35 million worth of dates were imported from Egypt. Morocco remained the second leading importer of dates from Egypt. Egypt has done record dates exports to Morocco with over 17% share and estimated to be around $30 million during FY 2022. Egypt export data shows that over 32 thousand worth of dates were exported to Morocco during the last 12 months. This is the highest value ever recorded for Egypt's exports to Morocco.  After Morocco, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia accounted for the maximum number of shipments for Egypt's dated exports.
