Thai fruits market to seek positive growth this year
Thailand is not only home to beautiful landscapes, stunning beaches, pleasant climate but also known for different varieties of fruits. Thailand is a well known market for fruit exports. Thailand has witnessed rapid growth during the last year. According to Thailand import export data reports, the Thai fruits exports hit a record $7.8 billion dollars during fiscal year 2023. It is expanding at the rate of 2.2%. Thailand’s most exported fruits items are durian fruits, pomegranates, betel nuts, tamarind, dragon fruit, guavas, mangoes, mangosteens, cashew nuts, coconuts, longan, and custard apple. Thailand export data shows that the country’s pomegranate exports accounted for 45% of the country’s overall fruits exports. Whereas, betel nuts were responsible for 11% market share. Durian was the most exported fruit from Thailand and also the third biggest agricultural export of the country.
