Russia, the world's leading fertiliser exporter
Russia is the biggest export market for fertilisers. Despite facing sanctions from the west, Russia has stood its ground as the leading fertiliser exporting country in the world. According to the Russia import export data , there was a surge in 70% fertiliser exports from Russia during the fiscal year 2022. Although there was a 70% decline in Russian fertilisers exports. Russia exported around 19 billion dollars worth of fertilisers during the fiscal year 2022. Russia's fertiliser exports shipment volume was around 38 million tonnes in FY 2022. Russia's major fertiliser exports include diammonium phosphate and Urea. In 2022, Diammonium phosphate exports from Russia were up by 9% while urea exports increased by 2.6%. Russia has shifted its fertiliser exports to India, Turkey and Vietnam after Europe. During the financial year 2022, Russia's fertiliser exports to India increased 3 times as compared to 2021.
