Around 80% of Mexico's overall tropical fruits exports went to the United States which was the top importer for Mexican tropical fruits. Whereas, Canada was the second largest importer of tropical fruits with over 7% market share. Whereas, Japan, Spain, Germany, France, Netherlands, Argentina and Chile were the significant importers of tropical fruits from Mexico during that period.

In terms of melons exports, Mexico has earned around $262 million during the financial year 2022-23. The United States was the top importer of melons accounting for over 98% share. Whereas, Canada and Japan were other prominent importers of melons from Mexico. Agroexport De Sonora and Agricola Freshver Spr were the top melons exporters from Mexico.
Whereas, limes exports from Mexico were $796 million followed by grapes ($578 million), mangoes ($550 million) and strawberries ($352 million). The top suppliers for these fruits from Mexico were Avomex International, Opus Foods Mexico and Agrana Fruit Mexico.
In terms of imports, Mexico stands 44th biggest tropical fruits importer in the world. According to the Mexico import data, around $1.1 billion worth of tropical fruits imports were made during FY 2022-23. 50% of the country's tropical fruits imports came from the United States.
The United States exported over $599 million worth of tropical fruits exports to Mexico. Peru, Chile, Italy, Vietnam and Colombia are some other significant tropical fruits suppliers to Mexico. La Nogalera and Grupo Tarahumara are the top Mexican buyers of tropical fruits responsible for the majority of the tropical fruits import shipments.
