According to the China customs data 2022 reports, China’s trade surplus reached 6.26 trillion US Dollars in 2022. China will become the top exporter in 2022. As per China export data, China’s total goods exports will be worth 3.59 trillion US Dollars in 2022. There was around a 10% jump in exports. Electrical machinery, Electronics, Batteries, smartphones were the top exports from China. China exports by country reports reflect that the United States, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea were top importing countries from China.

On the other hand, China imports were around 2.72 trillion US Dollars in 2022. Imports from China saw an increase of 1.1% as compared to last year. China import data reflects that China was the second largest importer after the United States. South Korea, Japan and the United States were the top 3 exporting countries to China. Crude oil, petroleum gas, integrated circuits, vehicles, iron ore and soy products were the major imports of China.


According to the China import export data year wise reports, the total imports and exports from China had seen a 7.7% year on year increase. China’s most of the trade comes from the US, ASEAN, and European Union countries. The bilateral trade with these countries had increased by 15% in 2022.

Electrical Machinery, Equipment were the top imports of China with 668 Billion US Dollars worth. The top 10 import commodities of China were Electrical Machinery, Equipment ($668 B), Mineral Fuels, Oils ($402 B), Ores, Slag, Ash ($272 B), Machinery ($231 B), Optical, Medical Apparatus ($109 B), Vehicles ($86 B), Plastics ($82 B), Pearls, Precious Stones, ($77 B), Copper ($66 B) and Organic Chemicals ($60 B).


ASEAN Countries ($408 B) were the important import trading partners of China in 2022. The other major import partner countries of China were European Union ($285 B), Taiwan ($238 B), South Korea ($199 B), Japan ($184 B), United States ($177 B), Australia ($142 B), Russia ($114 B) and Malaysia ($109 B).

In 2022, Computers were the most exported goods from China with worth 210 Billion US Dollars. The top 10 exports from China were Computers ($210 B), Broadcasting Equipment ($110 B), Telephones ($91 B), Office Machine parts ($47 B), Integrated Circuits ($41 B), Furniture ($25 B), Knit Sweaters ($24 B), Trunks ($23 B), Vehicle Parts ($21 B) and Insulated wires ($20 B).


The United States was the top importer of Chinese goods worth over 581 billion US Dollars. ASEAN Countries ($567 B), European Union ($561 B), Hong Kong ($297 B), Japan ($172 B), South Korea ($162 B), Vietnam ($146 B) and India ($118 B) were other major importing countries from China in 2022.


For the fiscal year 2022, China’s top import export companies were JOC Machinery Company Limited, Haiao Wire Mesh Products Co. Ltd, Diversitech Manufacturing Corporation, Seeking LED-Lighting Limited and Shenzhen MFG LED Lighting Co. Ltd.
