Russia To Boost Its Natural Gas Production Up to 100m Tons By 2030

 Russia is the number one natural gas exporter in the world. Around 85% of Natural gas was exported via pipeline and the rest was LNG. Currently, the LNG production stands at 33 M tons yearly. To give a major boost to its LNG exports, the Russian government is planning to enhance its LNG production up to 100 M tons per year by 2030.

According to the Russia customs data, Russia natural gas exports were around 202 billion cubic metres. While Liquefied Natural Gas exports were recorded to be 40 billion Cubic Metres. After Russia, the United States, Qatar and Norway are other major exporters of natural gas in the world. India is a major buyer of Russia’s Crude Oil


Russia and India both share good trade relationships from the time of the USSR. Russia is India's 18th largest import partner with over 10 billion US Dollars imports. As per the Russia import export data, India imports 1 million barrels per day during the financial year 2022. Iraq and Saudi Arabia were other major crude oil exporters to India after Russia. Machinery, Electrical Equipment, Vehicles, Plastics and Footwear are the major imports of Russia from China. On the other hand, the major Russian exports to China were copper articles, fish, crustaceans, wood articles, crude oil etc. In future, the foreign ties between the two will further increase.

Turkey's wire rod exports fell by 55% in 2023

  Turkey is a prominent steel industry. It is the 8th largest importer of steel globally. Whereas, it is ranked 4th leading steel exporter in the world.
