Argentina's wheat exports to reach

Wheat is an important agri export commodity of Argentina. Argentina is ranked the 7th largest exporter in the world. It covers over 6.4% of global wheat exports share. Around 60% of Argentina's wheat is exported.

According to the Argentina import export data reports, around 11 million metric tonnes of wheat was exported during the financial year 2022. During this period, Argentina's wheat exports totaled 3.2 billion dollars. There was around 5% increase in Argentina's wheat exports as compared to last year's 2.75 billion dollars exports.

As per Argentina customs data records, Brazil was the leading wheat importing country from Argentina with over 53% share of total imports. Whereas Chile, Morocco, Nigeria, Kenya, Indonesia, Ecuador, Algeria and Peru were other emerging markets for Argentina's wheat exports.

On the other hand, Argentina import data suggests that the United States is the top wheat exporter to Argentina with over 55% share of total imports. Spain, United Arab Emirates, Italy and France are other major markets that exports wheat to Argentina.

Argentina is ranked 4th largest soybean exporter in the world. For the financial year 2022, Argentina's soybean exports were estimated around 24 million dollars which is quite lowest in the last 20 years. Argentina exports soybean to China, Egypt, the United States, Russia and Malaysia.

Argentina is the second leading corn exporting country. During the financial year 2022, Argentina's corn imports declined by 9.5 billion dollars. Vietnam, South Korea, Egypt, Peru & Malaysia were the major markets for imports of corn by Argentina.

This year, Argentina's wheat production has been affected due to less rainfall. Due to which Argentina's wheat exports are expected to reach 13 million metric tons as compared to record 21 million metric tons last year. A data based approach can take you ahead of your competition.

Meat and diary products are other important categories among Argentina's top agri exports. In 2022, it was estimated around 5.5 billion dollars with 20% rise in exports. Whereas Argentina's Barley, Sunflower and Sorghum exports saw 41% increase.

According to the Argentina export data, the exports of these products recorded to be 3.6 billion dollars in FY22. The top destinations for export of these goods were China, Colombia, Brazil, and Peru.

Whereas, Argentina is facing stiff competition from Chile, Bolivia and China. In 2022, Argentina made these imports from Uruguay, Germany, Brazil, United Arab Emirates and France. Bad rainfall and severe drought will affect this year’s exports of Sunflower, Sorghum and Barley from Argentina.
