 Last year Philippines export data reports suggest that exports to gulf countries from the Philippines have followed upward trends. Food products were among the top gainers from the Philippines. Being the largest importer of meat products, leading gulf nations like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar have done significant amounts of imports from the Philippines.

According to the Philippines import export data records, the United Arab Emirates was among the top importer from the Philippines among gulf countries with over 61 percent share of total imports. Whereas, Saudi Arabia and Qatar accounted for 18% and 10% respectively.

In terms of exports, the United Arab Emirates exports could reach 56 million dollars, while exports to Bahrain and Kuwait could reach 4 million and 12 million dollars respectively. The Philippines is stepping towards becoming a 3 trillion dollar economy.


While Philippines imports from Kuwait include petroleum gas, electric motors, and equipment. On the other hand, Qatar's major exports to the Philippines include petroleum gas, crude petroleum, refined petroleum. Whereas, the top exports from Philippines to Qatar & Kuwait includes bananas, aircrafts, and office Machine Parts.
