Tanzania's berries exports to Israel up by 16%
 Over the years, Tanzania has developed a crucial trade relationship with Israel. According to the Tanzania import export data reports, the exports to Israel were totaled to be $12.24 million during FY 2022. Tanzania's exports to Israel are increasing at the rate of 7% annually. Coffee, Fish fillets, Gold, Precious Metal Scraps, Platinum, Ropes and Jutes are some of the key exports of Tanzania to Israel.

Fish fillets were the most demanded products from Tanzania in the Israel market with a share of over 40%. Whereas, Coffee was the second most exported product from Tanzania to Israel contributing to over 24% share. Precious metal scraps and Gold were responsible for 13% and 10% share in Tanzania's exports to Israel during FY 2022.


In recent years, the demand for Tanzanian  berries in the Israeli market has increased significantly. Tanzania export data reports reflect that around berries fruits products particularly berries exports to Israel were estimated to be $283 million during FY 2022. Israel's edible fruits imports from Tanzania include figs, dates, avocados, pineapples, coconuts, cashew nuts, etc. 


Also, Israel is a prominent importer of edible fruits. As per global import export data reports, the overall fruits imports by Israel were estimated to be around $442 million during fiscal year 2022. During this period, Israel's most favoured destination for fruits imports were France, Russia, Slovenia, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Turkey, Italy and the United States.


Tanzania's key edible fruits exports are coconuts, dates, bananas, citrus fruits, apples, pears, melons, grapes, etc. Vietnam and India have the major share in the fruits exports from Tanzania having over 40% and 36% share respectively. Also, DR Congo, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Slovenia, Egypt and the United Kingdom were other major markets for Tanzania's food exports.


Tanzania customs data shows that the edible food imports were mostly from South Africa and the UAE contributing to over 80% share. There was some noticeable increase in the edible fruits imports from Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Egypt, India, Netherlands and Iran. The overall food imports by Tanzania in FY 2022 were recorded to be $7.8 million.


On the other hand, Tanzania import data suggests that the products imported from Israel were $19 million in FY 2022. The key imports by Tanzania from Israel were spacecraft, machinery, electronics, seeds, scented mixtures, plastics, etc. The country’s imports from Tanzania are growing at the rate of 6.4% annually.
