France A leading cosmetic products exporter

France is an epitome of beauty. From surreal landscapes, monuments, cuisines to perfumes and cosmetics, France has always been the first place. According to the France import export data, the cosmetics exports from France have shown an increase of 16% in FY 2022.

European Union nations  were again the leading importer of French cosmetics accounting for over one third of France's total cosmetics exports. Among European Union countries, Germany was the top destination for France cosmetics exports. Germany was responsible for over 22% market share in France cosmetics exports. Spain and Italy were other major contributors to France cosmetics exports with 21% and 20% share respectively.


On the other hand, cosmetics exports to the USA were 14% up during FY 2023. Among France exports, perfumes were the most imported products by the USA from France. Whereas, Asian countries import data shows that the France cosmetics imports fell consecutively. 


China is the top importer of French cosmetics with an increase of 2% during the first half of FY 2023. Makeup and Skin care products exports to China saw an increase of 5.5%  in FY 2023. Whereas, overall exports to Asian nations fell by 6%.Also, the cosmetics demand across Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia decreased constantly by 23% while UAE saw an increase of 14% during this financial year. 


Some of the top France export companies are Cosmetique Active international, Schenker France, Elysee Cosmetiques, Groupe Rocher operations and Guerlain SA. In terms of imports, France cosmetics imports were merely 12 million. France import data suggests that Cote D’Ivoire is the leading cosmetics exporter to France followed by Ukraine, India, Turkey, Zimbabwe, Turkey, Russia, and Mexico.

Turkey's wire rod exports fell by 55% in 2023
