Pakistan's olive oil exports saw promising growth across European market

 

After the disastrous economic collapse in the Pakistani market, the rising exports have shown a promising future. There was some exceptional amount of growth seen among Pakistan's textiles, IT and olive oil exports. According to the Pakistan import export data, the country's overall olive oil exports were merely $29 thousand dollars in FY 2022. Whereas, last year olive oil exports crossed over $133 million this year.   

Italy is the major export destination for Pakistan's olive oil. Pakistan export data shows that Italy has contributed to over 63% share of Pakistan's olive oil exports. Pakistan has exported olive oil worth over $85 thousand during this year around. Fresh Tropical by Jawad was the top buyer from Italy covering all these olive oil shipments from Pakistan. 

Whereas, the United States is the olive oil importer from Pakistan having imports of over 19 thousand dollars with 13% market share. Lala International was the only US olive oil importer from Pakistan. Mozambique was the third biggest market for Pakistan's olive oil exports with over 14% share. Whereas, South Africa and the United Kingdom for 8 thousand and 7.7 thousand dollars respectively.

Green world industries, Paracha textile mills, Durvesh international and Master Trading are some of the top granite exporting companies from Pakistan. Pakistan customs data shows that Green World Industries from Pakistan had over 63% market share and exports estimated to be $85 thousand during FY 2022.

During November 2023, Pakistan's export sales skyrocketed to $54 thousand with 40% market share. Whereas, during June and February 2023, exports were $41 million and $15 million with 40% & 30% share respectively. In terms of imports, Pakistan has made over $414 million worth of olive oil during fiscal year 2023. 

Pakistan import data reflects that 57% of the country's olive oil imports came from Argentina. Argentina was responsible for over $23 million worth of olive oil exports to Pakistan. Whereas, Brazil was the second leading  olive oil supplier to Pakistan having over 29% share. Viterra Argentina and Bianchini from Brazil are the top two olive oil supplying companies to Pakistan with over 33% market share.

Paraguay, Indonesia, Spain and Germany were other notable olive oil suppliers to Pakistan. Paracha textile mills, Hamza vegetable oil refinery, Khadija edible oil refinery, Mahboob industries and Mapak Edible Oils are some of the top Pakistan olive oil import companies.  

Although, Pakistan has made more olive oil imports rather than exports. But, the future seems to be very bright.
