China's exports to Kyrgyzstan increased by 25%

 
Kazakhstan has recently shown interest in the imports from China. Over the years, China and Kyrgyzstan bilateral trade and investment reached new heights. China customs data shows that the bilateral trade crossed over the $15 billion mark. The imports and exports between the two have increased by 102%. 

During the financial year 2022, an investment of 1 billion was made between the two nations in which 22% share was from China only. According to the China import export data reports, Kyrgyzstan's share of imports from China increased by 25% this year around. Kyrgyzstan has imported over $6.8 billion worth of goods from China. Garments were the major imports made by Kyrgyzstan from China. 


Among which non-knitted women's and men's coats were the top imports with over 20% share. Knitted sweaters and women's suits were the second most imported goods with over 16% market share. Rubber, leather footwear, broadcasting equipment, plastics and furniture. Whereas per China import data, Kyrgyzstan exported over $194 million worth of goods to China. 


Gold was the most exported item from Kyrgyzstan to China having over 33% market share. Whereas, Copper ore and tobacco were responsible for over 32% share. Kyrgyzstan's precious metal ores, refined petroleum, animal skins, hides, cotton and aluminium were among the most demanded items in the Chinese market.


China is continuously expanding its trade across central Asian countries. These include Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, etc. According to the China export data reports, China has exported over $14 billion worth of goods to Kazakhstan in 2022. These include rubber footwear, computers, broadcasting equipment, iron bars and electrical machinery.


Kazakhstan has rich reserves of petroleum oils that attracts Chinese buyers. Kazakhstan's major exports to China include crude petroleum, petroleum gas, copper, ferro alloys, and zinc. Whereas, China has exported $5.8 billion worth of goods to Uzbekistan in 2022. 


Broadcasting equipment and cars were the top most exports from China to Uzbekistan. Vaccines, iron, fabrics and rubber tires were the most demanded Chinese goods among Uzbekistan markets. Whereas, China's interest was shown among Uzbekistan's petroleum gas, yarn, copper, chemicals and dried legumes. On the other hand, China's exports to Tajikistan and Turkmenistan were recorded to be $1.8 billion and $592 million respectively. Gold was the most imported item by China from Tajikistan with 70% share while petroleum gas imports from Turkmenistan had over 98% market share.
