Experts predicts 10% growth in India's coffee exports
During March 2023, the highest amount of coffee export shipments from India were recorded. The United Arab Emirates was responsible for over 70% of India's overall coffee exports. India customs data shows around $5.8 billion worth of coffee exports were made to the UAE in 2023.
Libya was the second biggest exporter responsible for over 8% of India’s total coffee exports. The United Arab Emirates accounted for over 95% share of India's overall coffee exports. Germany, Libya, and Kuwait were among the top importers of India's robusta coffee. In terms of coffee imports, India imported over $1.8 billion worth of coffee in 2023. India made the maximum amount of shipments during April 2023. Uganda and Indonesia were the most favoured destinations for coffee imports during last fiscal year. According to the India import data, Uganda and Indonesia were responsible for 56% of India's overall coffee imports.
Vietnam, Kenya, Tanzania, Guinea, and Brazil were among the fastest growing markets for India's coffee imports. Sucafina from Switzerland, Olam Group from Singapore, and Sucden Coffee from Netherlands were the coffee suppliers from India.
India's coffee exports are predicted to rise by 10% this year. As the top producer and exporter of Coffee, Vietnam is expected to produce less coffee as compared to previous year. Indian coffee growers can produce exotic varieties of coffee such as Arabica coffee and Robusta coffee.
