Turkish furniture exports hit record $5.6 Bn in 2023
Turkey has exported over $289 billion worth of goods during last year. Turkey has made record exports in 2023. Among Turkey's top performing sectors was furniture, paper and forestry goods. According to Turkey import export data reports, over $5.6 Billion worth of furniture items were exported from Turkey in 2023.
Among Turkey's most prominent markets for furniture exports were Iraq and Germany. These accounted for nearly 20% of Turkey's overall furniture exports. Turkey's furniture items have witnessed great demand from France, Libya, Israel, UK and the United States market.
Ceha Office Furniture was the biggest furniture export company from Turkey with the highest amount of shipments in 2023. Bellona Furniture, Orka Wood & Building Products and Stikbal Furniture Industry were among the most prominent furniture export companies from Turkey in terms of shipments.
Kan Khaton Company from Iraq, Best Ach from Romania and Cozydays from the United States were the top furniture import companies to Turkey in 2023. Whereas, according to the Turkey import data, the country's furniture imports were over $2.5 billion in 2023. Italy was the biggest furniture supplier to Turkey with 22% market share.
China was the second biggest supplier of furniture items to Turkey. Poland was the third biggest furniture supplier to Turkey with 10% share. Among fastest growing destinations for Turkey's furniture imports were Germany, Lithuania, Spain, Sweden, Romania and the United States.
Mapa Furniture, Chanel Moda & Luxury Products and Mosaic Design Vedekoration were the top 3 furniture importing companies from Turkey. In terms of maximum export shipments, IKEA Supply was the biggest furniture supplier to Turkey during 2023.
Apart from furniture, Turkey is known for its quality rugs and carpets. Turkey is among the top 10 carpets and rugs exporting countries in the world. Turkey export data shows that around $283 million worth of carpet and rugs were exported in 2023. Turkey's carpets and rugs found demand in the United Kingdom market with over 25% market share.
Iraq and the United States were other major importers of carpets and rugs from Turkey with 12% and 10% market share respectively. Among the fastest growing markets for Turkey's carpets and rugs exports were Libya, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Germany and Mauritania. Yasin Kaplan Carpet, BYD Dis Ticaret and Samur Carpet are some of the prolific Turkish export companies responsible for the maximum amount of shipments during last year.
Turkey customs data shows that over $47 million worth of rugs and carpets were exported during last year. Netherlands was the top supplier of rugs and carpets to Turkey with over 44% of the country's overall import share. Whereas, there was some notable amount of imports from Belgium, Serbia, China, France and the United Kingdom were recorded in the last fiscal year. Serbak Halicilik was the carpets and rugs importing company from Turkey.
Turkey's exports of furniture, carpets, rugs and paper are bound to show positive growth this year.
