India's fresh fruits & vegetables export reached $223 Mn in February

According to India import export data of February 2024, the country's fruits exports amounted to a substantial $116 million, with approximately 27,495 shipments of edible fruits contributing to this robust figure. The overall fresh fruits and vegetables exports during february were recorded to be $223 million.

The leading markets for these exports included the United Arab Emirates, Netherlands, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, and Iran, with notable companies such as Green Agrevolution, Nature One Fresh, and Euro Fruits leading the charge. In January 2024, India's fruits exports registered a commendable $164 million with significant increase in this sector. 


Key markets for these exports included the Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Russia, and Saudi Arabia, with Sahyadri Farms, Ulink Agritech, and Magnus Farm emerging as prominent players in the industry.


As per India export data, in the fiscal year 2023, India's overall fruits exports reached an impressive $328 million, showcasing sustained growth and resilience. The top markets for India's fruits remained consistent, with the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, and Oman leading the charge.


In terms of vegetable exports, India continued its strong performance, with February 2024 seeing exports worth $108 million, with approximately 28,493 shipments. Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, United States, and United Kingdom emerged as prominent destinations for India's vegetable exports during this period.


In January 2024, India's vegetable exports stood at $100 million, reflecting the sector's stability and prominence. Key markets included Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, United States, Sri Lanka, and the United Kingdom, highlighting the diversified export market for Indian vegetables.


Looking back at the fiscal year 2023, India's total vegetable products exports amounted to a substantial $1.31 billion, underscoring the significance of this sector in the country's export landscape. Major importers included Malaysia, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, United States, and the United Arab Emirates, with companies such as Kogta Import Export, Green India, and Sanghar Exports playing pivotal roles in driving these exports.
