Spain's ceramics exports went up by 8% during FY 2023

 

Spain is known for its quality ceramics products. Spain was the 3rd biggest ceramics exporter in the world. According to Spain import export data reports, the overall ceramics exports from Spain were recorded to be $5.58 billion during fiscal year 2023. Compared to fiscal year 2022, over $5.15 billion, there was an 8% increase in the ceramics exports from Spain.

Spain's biggest share of ceramics exports went to France who imported around $785 million worth of ceramics in 2023. Along with France, the United States (11%), United Kingdom (5.5%), Italy (4.5%) and Israel (3.8%) were the fastest growing markets for Spanish ceramics exports. 

Spain's most exported ceramics items were unglazed ceramic flags, ceramics constructional goods, ceramic tableware, kitchenware, ceramic ornaments, ceramic tiles, etc. Emigres, Pamesa ceramica, Cifre Ceramica and Geotiles were other significant ceramics suppliers from Spain. 

On the other hand, Spain's ceramics imports during fiscal year 2023 were estimated to be $889 million. As per Spain import data, there was 8.5% increase in the ceramics imports of Spain compared to $813 million in 2022. China and Italy were the biggest ceramics suppliers to Spain with 25% and 21% market share respectively.

There was a notable increase in Spain's ceramics imports from Portugal, France, Germany, Morocco and Turkey. Ceramics kitchenware, bathroom ware, construction items were the most imported ceramics items during last year. Soler Hispania, Halcon Ceramicas and Noken were the leading ceramics import companies shipment wise.

Apart from ceramics, Spain has made a remarkable amount of glassware exports last year. According to Spain export data, the country's glassware items exports were respectively $1.86 billion for last fiscal year. Over 45% of Spain's glassware exports went to France and Portugal in 2023. Among the fastest growing markets for Spain's glassware exports were Germany, Italy, United States and the United Kingdom. 

The Bernard Group, La Granja Insulators, and Bormioli Rocco were some of the leading glassware exporting companies from Spain with a notable amount of shipments in 2023. On the other hand, Spain's glassware imports were recorded to be $2.4 billion  during last year. France and China were the two leading destinations for Spain's glassware imports. Along with France & China, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, and Turkey were other major suppliers of glassware to Spain during last year.
