Sri Lanka Banned 300 Consumer Goods to Recover Losses
Recently, the Sri Lankan government banned the global import export data of non essential consumer items to recover losses. These include various consumer goods such as shampoo, perfume, deodorants, coconuts, suitcases, trunks, etc. The total product count is 300. Whereas essential goods like aircrafts, ships, electronic products imports have been paused as well. This decision came after the 51 billion foreign debt on the country during the political crisis. As per latest Sri Lanka customs data statistics, total exports stands at 16 billion US Dollars while imports are estimated around 18 billion USD.
