Sri Lanka Banned 300 Consumer Goods to Recover Losses

Recently, the Sri Lankan government banned the global import export data of non essential consumer items to recover losses. These include various consumer goods such as shampoo, perfume, deodorants, coconuts, suitcases, trunks, etc. The total product count is 300. Whereas essential goods like aircrafts, ships, electronic products imports have been paused as well. This decision came after the 51 billion foreign debt on the country during the political crisis. As per latest Sri Lanka customs data statistics, total exports stands at 16 billion US Dollars while imports are estimated around 18 billion USD. Philippines To Import 22,000 Tons of Onion Amid Domestic Crisis

Philippines customs data suggests that earlier in 2021, onion imports were estimated to be 42 million USD. While it dropped down to 70% in 2022 with total import volume 268,269 tons. The Philippines imports onions worth 29 million USD. Whereas, Philippines exports were merely 166K. But currently due to adverse climatic conditions, the Philippines is facing onion shortage. Singapore and Malaysia were the leading destinations for onion imports to the Philippines. The Philippines government is in a rush to import 22,000 tons of onions to meet its rising domestic demand. Currently, the prices of onions soared to 700 pesos per kilogram in the Philippines domestic market. China's Trade Surplus Reached $6.26 Trillion in 2022

According to the China customs data 2022 reports, China’s trade surplus reached 6.26 trillion US Dollars in 2022. China will become the top exporter in 2022. As per China export data , China’s total goods exports will be worth 3.59 trillion US Dollars in 2022. There was around a 10% jump in exports. Electrical machinery, Electronics, Batteries, smartphones were the top exports from China. Russia To Boost Its Natural Gas Production Up to 100m Tons By 2030

  Russia is the number one natural gas exporter in the world. Around 85% of Natural gas was exported via pipeline and the rest was LNG. Currently, the LNG production stands at 33 M tons yearly. To give a major boost to its LNG exports, the Russian government is planning to enhance its LNG production up to 100 M tons per year by 2030. According to the Russia customs data , Russia natural gas exports were around 202 billion cubic metres. While Liquefied Natural Gas exports were recorded to be 40 billion Cubic Metres.
