Indonesia to reduce its garlic imports up to 40% by next year

  Indonesia is a prominent importer of agricultural products. Indonesia is the world's leading garlic importer. It is shown from the fact that the country's overall garlic imports were around $68 million as reported by Indonesia import export data 2022. China was the top supplier of garlic to Indonesia accounting for over 98% share.   Bangladeshi market is a very fast progressive market. Over the years, Bangladeshi exports have been propelled at an express rate.   India has made a significant amount of electronics items exports this year. As per India import export data reports, around $84 billion worth of electronics items were exported during this financial year. South Korea was the top importer of electronics goods from India having over 52% market share and valued around $44 billion.  Hong Kong was the second leading market for India's electronics goods. In 2023, over $29 billion worth of exports were recorded. The fastest growing markets for electronics items exports were Nepal, Vietnam, United States, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. India's onion exports ban might impact Asian market

  India has recently stopped the exports of its most demanded item, onion due to the climate uncertainty and fuel domestic market. This might impact the Asian market as the biggest importers for India’s onion are Asian countries. India is the third largest exporter of onions globally. According to the India export data , the country’s onion exports shipments were over 2.5 million tonnes and estimated to be $609 million during FY 2022. Whereas, the current onion exports stood at $513 million tonnes. The top markets for India’s onion exports were Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam. Pakistan's rice exports hit over $347 million in November

  Rice is one of the most imported items in the global market. Pakistan is also a significant exporter of rice. It ranks 4th on the list of top rice exporters with over 3.8 MMT tonnes exports yearly. According to the Pakistan export data , the country exported over $347 million during November. Whereas, during this financial year, the overall rice exports from Pakistan were recorded to be $2.4 billion. Over 30K rice exports shipments were made by Pakistan during this fiscal year. These include basmati rice ($779 M), semi-wholly milled rice ($731 M), parboiled rice ($590 M), husked rice ($315 M) and broken rice ($187 M). Pakistan's rice exports have seen strong demand across Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Indonesia and Afghanistan.  Malaysia was responsible for $175 million worth of rice export shipments. That is why the government is planning for the betterment of its textile sector. Kenya import export data shows that the country's textiles exports were $18 thousand during the financial year 2021 while it came down to $682 in 2022.  There was a huge decline of 96% last year. Although, their textiles contributed to over9% share in Kenya’s overall exports. Kenya's textiles exports were limited to Rwanda, Tanzania and Burundi.   Botswana's economy relies mostly on diamonds and metals exports. Botswana export data shows that diamonds cover over 88% of the country's overall exports whereas the rest of the exports were mostly from metals and dairy products. Botswana’s exports found ground in the Asian market as it was responsible for 60% of Botswana's overall exports. Among Asian countries, the UAE and India were among the top  destinations for Botswana’s exports.
